This is the eerily quiet 10pm view from the splash pad in Butler Park across Lake Austin to downtown.
The fountains are going strong here in the dark like they expect children to be running through them. But it's empty, and the water just collects in inky black puddles tailor-made for reflecting city lights.
The only bother is the distinct odor of chlorinated water.
